Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actor most famously known for her part as Bo in the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. The daughter of Peter who is a professor, and Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actor, director, producer, playwright as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall the earliest moments of her childhood, like watching and participating in rehearsals of plays. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a kid. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto to pursue her acting career in order to advance, then to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 after they met at an actor'sworkshop in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged in 2009 and married with a civil ceremony the month of December in that same year. They were married in Fredericton on April 10th 2011, they renewed vows following her decision to convert to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, 2016. Silk's television work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk was pregnant during production of the season three finale and announced this to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk, who has been involved in the production of Lost Girl since the final season episode was first conceived on January 6, 2013, announced on Twitter that she would return to the show on June 4, 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on the fourth. CNN's Cable News Network named her performance as Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved television Couples.
